Dr. Devlin-Craane will utilize various techniques and strategies to evaluate what is the best type of treatment is for your specific needs. A complete psychiatric evaluation will be done prior to the development of a treatment plan.

Medication Management
A range of services is provided to clients to optimize therapeutic outcomes (help patients get the most benefit from their medications) and detects and prevent costly medication problems.
EMDR · (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR has been studied by researchers and found to be effective in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression and posttraumatic stress disorder. Many clients experience improvement of symptoms in 3-4 sessions. Others, with complex trauma, multiple traumatic experiences may take longer, yet experience relief of symptoms within months.
Other Integrative Therapies
We use integrative health therapies, such as mind-body interventions, art therapy, nutrition, and exercise, to treat stress-related mental health conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Mindfulness, Healing touch methods, Reiki, emotional focused therapy – EFT, integrated energy therapy – IET, acupuncture, sound therapy for relaxation and meditation. When these therapies are appropriate they can be integrated into one’s treatment plan.
An Example of What to Expect
If you have a history of trauma, one or more types of treatment could be right for you.
· Somatic Therapy focuses on the body. Trauma is stored in the body. Assessing where in the body trauma is stored is an essential part of Somatic Therapy.
· Cognitive relates to your thought processes about a certain event.
· EMDR: Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing, a type of therapy which addresses symptoms of depression, anxiety, and addictive behaviors.
· Pharmacotherapy/medication is offered as needed to address symptoms.
A combination if various therapies can be used to approach each individual’s specific set of issues.

How long will therapy last?
Simple trauma is usually resolved in three to six months.
Complex trauma takes longer, usually six months or longer.
Are most conditions caused by trauma?
It is my experience that virtually all clients I treat have conditions resulting from trauma.
How do I know if I’ve experienced trauma?
Trauma is anything that has occurred recently or in the past that causes difficulty in managing everyday life.
Is medication necessary?
Medication is not always necessary but is often helpful.
